Flottweg has again received an order to deliver a complete process line for the production of starch and wet gluten. Our customer was convinced by our long experience in starch processing, the high quality of our decanters as well as the competent consultation during the preliminary phase.
The main components of this process line are four Flottweg Decanters. In a first step, two centrifuges split up the wheat paste into A-starch and B-starch/gluten as well as a pentosan phase. Another decanter concentrates the B-starch stream, and a further decanter treats the process water in order to reduce the consumption of fresh water in the process line.
Flottweg centrifuge technology not only promises high yields and optimal product quality but also offers a key advantage ecologically since it helps to reduce fresh water consumption.

Therefore the company passed the Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance recertification very successfully. The auditor was deeply impressed by our high quality standards. The audit of our Italian subsidiary Veronesi was also very positive.

This year at our booth we have two items on exhibit: A Sedicanter® for Beer recovery from surplus yeast as well as a disc stack centrifuge for Beer pre-clarification and turbidity adjustment. Flottweg Separation Technology Inc. located in Independence, Kentucky, has completed a 5000 square feet expansion of its warehouse and machine refurbishment facility. Since FW US officially opened its doors in December 2007, its Aftermarket Business has grown by approximately 300 percent. With this enlargement, a total of 30,000 square feet are available for the further development of our business activities in North America.
The waste water streams generated during the production of our customers' various products are as different as the products themselves. Our engineers and technicians have many years' experience in waste water treatment. With the help of the new mobile testing station our test technicians are able to provide the process engineering department with reliable data which will then be the basis for the large-scale implementation. Therefore we are able to guarantee later capacities and determine the exact parameters for the machine which will be used. Thus, we make sure that the Flottweg centrifuge is always exactly adjusted to customer specific demands.
Flottweg has been awarded the AEO F-Certificate by the Customs Office in Landshut, Germany, and is thus an „Authorised Economic Operator". This certificate is the highest internationally recognized seal of quality which customs authorities may award.

Flottweg Shanghai is proud of having received a major order for the delivery of five decanters, model Z92, for the dewatering and thickening of sewage sludge in the biggest sewage plant in Asia.

Since our Chinese workshop has reached its capacity limits, it is now being enlarged. We expect that the new building will be ready in September. In June the ground-breaking ceremony took place.

"With the new decanter line, Flottweg complies completely with the demands of the waste water market" - this was the opinion of a large number of professional visitors during this year's IFAT exhibition. The development of a unique decanter line especially adapted to the demands of environmental technology was indeed very successful. More than 100 decanters of the new C-series are already in operation in sewage plants around the world. The large number of projects discussed during the IFAT exhibition is a clear sign that the success story of the C-series will certainly go on.
Also shown at the booth was the Tricanter® - a special three phase decanter for the recovery of fats and oils - and the modern disc stack centrifuge type AC1500 gathered a lot of interest.
Serbian decision makers from the water and wastewater management industry gathered information about state-of-the-art decanter technology for sewage sludge treatment at the Flottweg production site in Vilsbiburg.
The delegation of 22 people was very impressed by the knowledge and the manufacturing quality of Flottweg AG. Precision manufacturing using ultra-modern CNC machines made especially clear why "Made in Germany" has such a good reputation all over the world.
